AARU Extra Large Boho Beach Hessian Bag

This extra large bag (extra deep 25cm) is perfect for grocery shopping or beach bag or throw the kitchen sink in as it can store the large cereal boxes when you go shopping! It has eyelets attached to the handles for extra strength.

Made from eco friendly premium grade Jute / Hessian this lightweight reusable bag is extremely strong and durable. No harsh chemicals used in dyes. Long cotton tape handles for your comfort with internal pocket for easy access to phone / keys.

I have designed my hessian bags to last. They are double stitched with inner lamination making them strong and sturdy. Cheaper grade jute is typically loosely weaved which won't last as long, tends to flop and sold for few dollars in supermarkets.

Make it your shopping bag, grocery bag, beach bag, gym bag or picnic bag and can be flat packed when not in use.

As a designer I use Jute as my core fabric of choice and I am excited to have created the world's largest range of Designer Hessian Bags just for You! A lot of hard work goes into each Thyli bag. I work closely with my production team to create these awesome bags using my intuition and customer feedback, sourcing fabrics, tweaking my designs to reduce wastage in production and packaging; and traveling overseas to work with the sampling team on the production floor to bring my creations to life!

Each Thyli bag is therefore unique, a fusion of art and practicality, for everyday use and great as gifts that will get reused.

Jute plant is a natural grass known as the "golden fibre" that is Earth friendly with a low carbon footprint compared to cotton. Jute relies on rain water and uses less water than cotton. Cotton uses large amounts of irrigated water, is pesticide and fertilizer intensive which places pressure on rivers, soil, biodiversity and the eco system. I have used Jute from the Bay of Bengals wetlands where most of the world's jute is sourced. Jute grows quickly, requires less land and millions of rural people rely on harvesting jute as a source of income. Hessian or burlap fabric is made from the Jute plant. Hessian, Burlap and Jute terms are used interchangeably.

Care Instructions - Jute / Hessian is very resistant to dirt and spot clean / gentle sponge to wipe off any marks. Clean the inner lamination with a wet cloth. Do not wash as colours may run. Using a washing machine and dryer is NOT recommended. Store your bag flat packed to avoid creases and ensure longer life.

*Minor shade variations due to different monitor and lighting, the actual colour of the item might be slightly different from the colour shown on the pictures. Expect minor variations in Jute fabric which makes it naturally beautiful and is not a defect.
